THE FAILED ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD ADAMAWA ELECTORATE- George Kushi

It is becoming expressly clear that anti-democratic forces are hell -bent on sabotaging due process in Adamawa state. The lessons of the past few days is a pointer to that following the foolhardy boast of Aishatu Binani and the inept handling of the governorship elections and consequent declaration that the election result is " inconclusive".

Since Attahiru Jega introduced this despicable term some years back,Nigerians have come to associate it with falsehood and the criminal attempt to defraud the electorate. It is abundantly clear that " inconclusive" applies to areas where the APC appears to be losing elections.

The governorship elections screams loud in today's circumstances. With a whooping margin ,by far exceeding the results in Kaduna and Ogun states, the outcome of the results in Adamawa has been adjudged as" inconclusive" by a visibly biased umpire that has been caught on phone making highly compromising statements. He has even owned up to some of such statements, but yet the powers that be have not deemed it fit to relieve him of the position and replace him.

Even more interesting is the fact that despite identifying election fraudsters, none has been arrested and arraigned for such offences as laid down in the laws of the land. The stupefied REC has admitted saying "a taimaki matan nan "(singular) or matannan(plural),which ever the case may be,his duty is not to help anyone ,male or female. His acceptance of having received instructions from" above"also demands scrutiny as to who gave him such instructions.

What is happening in Adamawa is a representative of the dwidling fortunes of the country's political culture that has made us a laughing stock in the committee of nation's,leading to outright condemnation of the 2023 elections by international observers.

The cases in Ogun and Kaduna, where the margin are little and below the cancelled votes have not elicited so much attention as to attract the term " inconclusive". With only thirty seven thousand votes to contest in the most dubious of circumstances,

Adamawa citizens are subjected to a torturous wait for elections that we all know are meant to facilitate rigging. This calls for vigilance on the side of the electorate who must ensure that their franchise is not compromised. To ensure this ,all must participate no matter the level of intimidation. All must also insist on one ballot paper so as not to fall victim of over- voting ,a ploy that may be used to compound issues.

The elections have been rife with criminal acts that have not been prosecuted. The criminal( known to many) that" snatched" the result sheet in Future should be brought to book along with his principals. The dubious REC should be relieved of his position as his utterances have proved him to be unreliable and partisan in the discharge of his duty.

All of us owe it a duty to ensure that those involved in this attempt to steal the people's mandate are brought to book. They must be made to serve prison terms as a deterrent to others.

This round of elections have terribly hurt the Nigerian psyche. It is fast bringing down the dignity of our revered, even though tarnished images of our security and Protective agencies, the judiciary that has failed to punish electoral fraudsters in the past and now,the academia that has produced suspicious professors for the electoral process.

Further more, diplomats in the country, like the out going British High Commissioner should learn to steer clear of local politics by not meddling and jumping the gun by congratulating candidates. Her duties do not include anointing governors. Had she done same for all delared winners, she would not have been faulted,in congratulating Binani before deleting the tweet, but chosing her Adamawa means thats he has chosen sides. How do you congratulate when reults are still being collated and declaration not made?

Whoever recruited her in this anti-Adamawa enterprise has seriously misled her.

We will unwaveringly keep watch. We will protect our votes. Our people will ensure that the margin is further widened now that we really understand they meant when they said " by hook or by crook". While they employ their worst shenanigans, our spotlessly clean conduct ,supported by the solid resolve of the people cannot fail to overwhelm them.

Salus populist, suprema lex. The wish of the people,is the highest law. So shall it be in Adamawa state.

RE : EXPOSED: Fintiri''s dubious Political deals to retain Power at all cost- George Kushi

Once again charlatans are at work. With nothing to do other than to create mischief,a hired pen is at work trying to conjure an image of criminal scheming that has failed to impress due to the fact that nothing is outside normal politicking. From all indications, the Binani camp has been flustered and is desperate to hold on to imaginary narratives of posible political life-saving measures. In any event this new strategy will not work.

The PDP campaign team is well aware of the desperation that has forced the Binani camp to employ writers whose styles exposes their identities. Even more interesting is that the perceived author might be a fictitious Dahiru Sani sponsored to creat a diversion and corrupt the minds of a few gullible people. However, this article ,full of mischief demands scrutiny not because it has any merit ,but because false statements, coupled with irrational thoughts need explanations.

It is interesting to note that one of the accusations levelled against Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has to do with an alleged attempt to woo CAN(Christian Association of Nigeria). A question that arises from this flimsy accusation is,since when has it become wrong in Adamawa state to go into negotiations with religious groups? Is this Binani apologist not aware that his principal ,Binani was in consultation with Adamawa North CAN executives where she promised heaven on earth?. In this case her move has not been faulted by the PDP, nor by Ahmadu Fintiri, who understands her desperation and her last ditch attempt to seek support from all quarters.

Fintiri's all inclusive government does not have to run from goal to post in a last minute attempt to get CAN's support. Yet,this is not all that this phantom Dahiru Sani ventured to talk about. Whatever Dahiru is talking,he should have respect for others. He has no license to draw eminent and respected citizens into his despicable attempt curry favors. How on earth can he call names like Atiku Abubakar, First Lady Aisha Buhari,Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Badaru and others so as to make his story plausible? How can he in his wildest dreams make people believe that the future of Adamawa state has been put on the table like a loaf of bread. Dahiru Sani(no,his principal)should have respect for the people of Adamawa when next he employs pedestrian publicist technics in an effort to woo sympathy.

From all indications,Dahiru wants to impress, but lacks the finesse, thereby his resort to pooling names from all quarters to seek credibility. Come to think of it, to make Aisha Buhari's brother a minister, must Fintiri move to APC before that can be achieved. The whole idea look laced with lies and wishful thinking. In any event,if I were Fintiri,I should be flattered that such names have been woed to my side. With all those names, all formidable forces on my side ,why bother about less important people like Dahiru Sani? The names associated with Fintiri in Sani's is daunting enough to make Binani throw in the towel before the polls. Interestingly enough, these names were notably mentioned as having work to ensure Fintiri''s victory in 2019. So what has changed? Especially now that they are all testament to the fact that he has not disappointed them but impressed them with his sterling performance in governance.

How can she even expect to win when she is at war with all her generals? Having estranged her campaign Director-generals at all levels and involved even her Ward executives and even Local Government exos in a court case leading up to the supreme Court, very little or no credibility is left for her. Her party at the ward level is against her at a time she is quarrelling with several notable figures at the national and local levels even with the APC state organizing secretary including critical stakeholders of her party. Is this the kind of governor that Dahiru wants for us? Such lies was bandied in the build up to the 2019 election where they spread the "fasa kwaryan Fulani" Story. Just as it made no impact before, so would this one also not see the light of the day. Clearly, the write up is intended to garner Fulani sympathy since all the names ranging from Atiku, Auwal, Liman, Ribadu etc are all fulanis.

The much acclaimed "paper" by Dahiru is quite shocking in that all through it is full of assumptions and unfounded revelations. The terms,"sources, revealed, believed, according to insiders, the paper learnt,.. " are continuums that give no insight nor lends any level of veracity to the authors claims. Does Binani think the people of Adamawa are this gullible?

They should learn the basics of politics before posting anything in future. For a number of reasons, the so called Dahiru needs not only experts to help him with analysis of what politics entails . It is necessary for him to involve statisticians to help him with figures as his mindboggling figure of Hausa Fulani vote that total four hundred thousand according to his rekoning indicates that all other nationalities constitute less than twenty-five percent of the votes cast in Adamawa state. These are just some of the areas that need his immediate attention.

However in addition to the above, the author should bear in mind that in politics negotiations are necessary because politics in itself is the process of determining who gets what, where, when and how. If perchance Fintiri was involved negotiations,he has been doing the right thing, because dialogue is the major ingredient of healthy politicking ,the alternative is the use of force to which Fintiri abhors.

Fintiri's course is the right one, that is if that is the course he took. Or does Dahiru Sani prefer the alternative (quarrelling, fighting)like Binani is doing with her party members and other political elites in Adamawa,or does he prefer the Fintiri way?

This sponsored write-up leaves much to be expected. From all indications the composers have a finely defined motive to create disaffection amongst those they think constitute a threat to Aishatu Dahiru. For one ,there is a covert attempt to array the various personalities;Nuhu Ribadu,Auwal Tukur,Liman Tukur and Adamu Atiku Abubakar against one another. By employing the method of" divide and rule", by pitching the personalities at loggerheads, this crafty method was introduced .

In any case, is Binani expecting Waziri Atiku Abubakar to work for her victory. Governor Fintiri traversed the nooks and crannies of Adamawa State in a combined Presidential and Governorship campaign with a winning political machinery alongside Atiku's son. This culminated into a galvanized support where the grand finale spoke volumes of the way the governor was able to tower over the APC.

Where is Binani expecting Atiku to work whe he is the PDP flag bearer?

However, does it appear to the writer that even a fool knows that it is too early at this stage to accept terms or promises that cannot be fulfilled until the next three years? At this stage none of them can hold to that, moreso no single individual can make such a promise and be taken seriously at this stage. Fintiri knows that he can't joggle these astute politicians like novices. He knows that such a move might turn out disastrous, but even moreso is the fact that such equivocation is not in his pedigree. In any event each of them can aspire for the position since none of them falls short of the constitutional requirements. This plot to create discord is nothing new. It has been the trademark of the Binani campaign machine to set out obstacles that they think can whip sentiments along ethnic and lines; set other nationalities against each other, set the Fulani against the "kabilu,as she puts it,appeal to the Hausa sentiments and embellish it with religion.

Unfortunately for them, the man they are fighting has the support of all parties being wooed. Neither tribe ,religion or creed can sabotage Fintiri's many years of service in political office.

COUNTERING AMB AA UBA'S TIRADE ON FINTIRI by George Kushi

These days it has become the vogue to try at all cost to be relevant. The bad thing however is that some are trying to do that at all cost. It is therefore not surprising that a self-aclaimed ambassador,AA Uba has released a video which has gone viral claiming to represent a faceless group.

In a tirade reminiscent of a politically frustrated man he painted a jaundiced picture of the Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. His grouse against the government rests on the fact that Governor Fintiri's government has been stingy by failing to dole out money to his ilk. In his tirade,he lambasted the governor for sending him "only two hundred thousand Naira".

To have come up with this accusation says much about the kind of person he is. Of great interest is that he did not say how he merited the governor's largese other than the fact he was a supporter years back. For all his rantings he is only one of hundreds of thousands that voted Fintiri. His vote, like every other vote was important and was important to the overall victory for good governance that we all craved ,but that was where AA Uba should have ended his tirade.

Like himself, thousands voted for Fintiri,if he really did,but not all folded their hands waiting for handouts to bail them out of poverty or hunger. Since when has the privilege to serve as a governor become an avenue for enriching "family and friends"? AA Uba ,however to the contrary of democratic norms thinks that personal empowerment of friends is a virtue and he used it to extol Nyako.

Many that have not received " only two hundred thousand "are however pleased with the results of this administration that has kept its promise of good governance. The hunger driven needs of political hangers-on is not ,and should not be the focus of an accountable government. AA Uba would have elicited sympathy if he had mentioned promises that are unfulfilled, rather than his personal problems.
Fintiri never promised to distribute money to individuals and is therefore not obligated to do so.

While trying to be relevant,at least to those that out of envy try to vilify Fintiri,Uba exposed hidden features beneath his otherwise well fed exterior;greed. Our common wealth is not for the governor to dash out. The people of Adamawa voted for Fintiri and will hold him accountable for any amount spent. Yet, Ambassador Uba did not tell us wether he rejected the money sent to him nor bothered to intimate us on how he earned or deserved it. His claims of not being poor is proof that Uba does not know what poverty is all about. Poverty is in the first instance is moral bankruptcy, followed by intellectual insufficiency, then greed and finally financial insatiability. Uba should critically assess these before declaring into which category he belongs.

Another area of interest that Uba touched on is the issue of how Fintiri came to office. In this the "complainant" seems to have forgotten that to us that believe it n God,power emanates from Him(God").His claims of billions spent to place Fintiri in the seat of government is erroneous. If billions were doled out is a different issue, but a closer look will reveal that the least funded governorship campaign was that of Fintiri. His campaign was made up of so few vehicles such that supporters paid for the vehicles that transported them. For the sake of clarity, the "donors" should audit those they sent with those horrendous sums that were pocketed by greedy hangers-on that abound in Yola, while those that voted saw little in the rural areas. For such amounts to prove useful,Uba should be placed in charge by any candidate audacious enough to trust him.

In essence, Uba needs a rethink on his political views as he tries to bring religion into it. Why the issue of Hajj? Was part of the campaign promise? It is good to go on pilgrimage to Mecca, but nowhere is it said that the government must sponsor intending pilgrims(both Christian and Moslem). Bringing the issue of "alfarma" is not commensurate with the tenets of both Christianity a nd Islam, especially in a situation where the really poor that cannot afford the fare wallow in rural areas. This is not your say that the government does not,and is not sponsoring pilgrims, but to point out to Uba that on this issue his accusation is unfortunately misplaced because he is not speaking on behalf of those that really matter as far as the issue is concerned.

As if that is not enough, the same person that is trying to show concern on a Godly issue, the same person fighting for those that intend to go on pilgrimage and seek forgiveness is at the same time preaching vengeance and vindictiveness from those that Fintiri might have offended. He is not saying how had been offended by his ungratefulness
for" only two hundred thousand Naira",but has promised to mobilise against any attempt to foster peace through reconciliation.

In all honesty can this person be considered as one that really means well to Adamawa State? From all indications, this man is an enemy to peace,an enemy to the people of Adamawa State,an enemy to Nigeria and in fact an enemy to mankind. Such should cast out religious communities, kept away from all that pray for meaningful progress in society, because only the devil is pleased with people.

Islam means peace. How does Uba expect peace to reign without forgiveness? No doubt the devil is in his workshop;an idle mind. God is all forgiving. Uba should learn to forgive before the bitterness in him and love for rewards from people around him consume and send him to perdition.
